Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Liftlog Reports, operated by Russell Jones ("we", "us", "our"). By signing up for an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Service Description

Liftlog Reports is a digital thorough-examination reporting tool for lifting and work equipment. It provides templates, certificate generation, client delivery, and due-date tracking. We do not perform inspections or act as the competent person — you remain responsible for the accuracy and compliance of every report you create.

3. Account & Acceptable Use

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must not misuse the service. This includes, but is not limited to: unlawful use, fraud, spam, intellectual-property infringement, security interference, reverse engineering, scraping, or circumventing technical limits.

4. Intellectual Property

Russell Jones retains all ownership rights in the software, templates, branding, and documentation. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the limits of your selected plan. You retain ownership of the inspection data and reports you create.

5. Payment, Billing & Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All payments are handled by our online reseller, Paddle. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms, which cover payment processing, billing, tax, cancellations, and refunds.

Paddle Merchant of Record disclosure: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

6. Service Level

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or factors beyond our control may affect availability.

7. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay when due, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate acceptable-use policies. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may export existing reports before access ends.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Russell Jones excludes liability for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is capped at the total fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where required by law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
